Intonation
My high-position intonation is unreliable
Finger spacing compresses in higher positions, so low-position spacing habits become inaccurate.
This governed route starts from what you can observe. It is source material and routing help, not a replacement for the current teacher seeing the player.
What you can observe
- high position intonation
- compressed finger spacing
- fingerboard geography
First bounded action
Anchor one known pitch in the position, then map a small interval around it without carrying first-position spacing upward.
How to check it
The neighboring interval sounds correct without widening after placement.
Stop condition
Stop once the local three-note map repeats accurately.
What this route cannot tell you
This route can help name an observable violin problem and choose a bounded test. It does not override the learner's current teacher or diagnose an individual player from a webpage.
