Prepare the new string level before the note change using the smallest arm-level adjustment possible.
How to check it
The new string speaks without an added accent or accidental neighboring string.
Stop condition
Stop after five clean crossings at a slow tempo, then restore rhythm.
What this route cannot tell you
This route can help name an observable violin problem and choose a bounded test. It does not override the learner's current teacher or diagnose an individual player from a webpage.
