Shifting
My shifts land out of tune
An inconsistent shift usually lacks one stable step: departure, travel, arrival, or verification.
This governed route starts from what you can observe. It is source material and routing help, not a replacement for the current teacher seeing the player.
What you can observe
- shifting
- guide finger
- shift intonation
- arrival note
First bounded action
Practice only the departure note, guide motion, and arrival note. Keep the thumb and hand traveling together.
How to check it
The arrival pitch is reproducible without a last-second slide correction.
Stop condition
Stop after three clean arrivals from a fresh reset.
What this route cannot tell you
This route can help name an observable violin problem and choose a bounded test. It does not override the learner's current teacher or diagnose an individual player from a webpage.
