Bow control
My bow keeps bouncing when I do not want it to: During slow or sustained bows
Bounce during sustained bows points first to vertical force, rigid joints, or crossing a resonant point too slowly.
This governed route starts from what you can observe. It is source material and routing help, not a replacement for the current teacher seeing the player.
What you can observe
- bow bounce
- shaky bow
- bow hand relaxation
- bow stability
First bounded action
Reduce downward force and allow slightly more bow speed through the unstable region.
How to check it
The bow should remain connected through a full slow stroke without a second impact.
Stop condition
Stop once three connected bows remain stable; then return gradually to the original stroke.
What this route cannot tell you
This route can help name an observable violin problem and choose a bounded test. It does not override the learner's current teacher or diagnose an individual player from a webpage.
